Everyone who loves nature and horses is welcome to learn together about a natural way of being with horses this weekend. Wild Pony is a place where horses live together on a large pasture with open stables and hay in nets spread over the pasture. We treat the animals with respect and we use saddles (mostly flexible tree saddles) and bridles that do not harm the horses. In May we compiled a special program about natural communication with horses and keeping and training horses in a healthy way. We will learn this outside, where we can enjoy the landscape. There is space for up to 6 people and we work with different horses. People from different countries are welcome and the instructors speak Spanish, Dutch, English and German. The horses are also of varied origin: from PRE horses to a Pottokas and a Falabella. The instructors: Lisette van Dijk is natural therapist for horses (affiliated with the BCND), Centered riding instructor and a holistic horse trainer. She has been with horses since childhood and her passion is to improve the wellbeing of horses. She has worked with many different trainers and instructors around the world. She also took classes in tai chi and energetic awareness. She still follows lessons in Russian martial arts (Systema) and Alexander technique. These methods are extremely valuable for developing good communication with horses. (CV) Basi Tegen is an instructor, qualified by the horse riding club of Madrid with years of experience throughout Spain. He has followed the postgraduate courses in therapeutic riding, adapted equestrian sport and sports medicine at the University of Córdoba. He is specialized in natural horsemanship, horse wellbeing and keeping horses in a natural way. His great-grandfather was already working with horses and since he was little he rode horses and donkeys in Guadalupe, Extremadura, the city where he was born. He has more than 15 years experience in natural horsemanship with Lucy Rees and worked for the wellbeing of horses in different parts of Spain. In Navahermosa Toledo he trained and cared for stallions, in Boñar (León) he rode horses in the mountain peaks and he taught young horses. In Riudon Tarragona he trained and rode many horses. Program: In this weekend, people and animals learn from each other. We develop qualities such as observation skills and clear communication. We learn to increase our awareness that horses are living animals with their own lives and needs. We do this by looking at the character, health, element, attitude and morphology of the horses of Wild Pony. With this information we can offer the horse an individual training program. With naturopathy and good training we can strengthen the horses where they need it. With natural horsemanship and centered riding we improve communication between horse and trainer. On Sunday, the last day, we apply what we have learned during a ride along the river and over hills. 19 May 10.00 - 14.00 / 15.30 - 19.30
